The Datalogic Magellan 1500i scanner is a high-performance presentation scanner for various applications, including retail outlets, pharmacies and customer service. The Magellan 1500i pairs the imaging scanning expertise developed for our largest scanners with an innovative, compact design to create the most powerful presentation scanner on the market. The addition of Digimarc barcode decoding makes the Magellan 1500i uniquely capable for both current and future scanning needs.

The Magellan 1500i uses a high-performance megapixel sensor and custom optics to create a large reading area capable of reading distances up to 25 cm and at 1D read speeds up to 1.5 m/s. Powerful decoding algorithms provide unrivalled performance for a wide range of 1D and 2D labels, including hard-to-read, truncated and damaged codes. The Magellan 1500i scanner’s large reading area and excellent performance make scanning easy and intuitive, even for novice users.

Consistent, comfortable illumination allows smooth reading of 1D and 2D barcodes from print or mobile sources while reducing glare and eliminating flicker that can cause operator discomfort.

Datalogic’s Motionix™ motion sensor technology lets the scanner intuitively switch to handheld mode when the device is lifted. This switches on the LED aimer, while Green Spot technology confirms a good reading directly in the code. When the scanner is placed back on the counter, it smoothly returns to standby mode.

With a small footprint and attractive design, the Magellan 1500i scanner compliments any point of sale or service environment. Classic monochrome housings are paired with various mounting options to make this versatile, powerful product in an attractive, compact package.
