Newland WD2
Description
Outstanding performance
Equipped with Newland 2D megapixel scanning technology, the WD2 can effortlessly capture high-density, high-volume, distorted barcodes printed on various materials. The mid-range version can capture codes from further away than normal and scan various barcodes that a standard scanner might struggle with.
Targets steadily
The standard range uses a red aiming mark, which allows the Acuscan to be used for accurate scanning of smaller codes. Even when codes are grouped closely, Acuscan allows staff to select the right item confidently. The mid-range version uses a single red dot seen from a greater distance to scan larger, isolated codes.
Daisy Chain charging
The WD2 is a compact two-compartment charging station powered via a USB-C cable and multi-region power supply. The charger has mounting points, and quick-click docking station magnets keep the WD2 securely in place, even when mounted vertically. The holders can be connected to create a 4, 6, 8 or 10-compartment multi-docking pad optimised for 100% efficient charging using a single power supply.
Works wirelessly
The WD2 is connected to an electronic wrist strap with an integrated scan switch conveniently positioned between the thumb and index finger. It is available for right- and left-handed users and comes in two sizes to cater to small/medium and large hands. The large strap also fits over thicker gloves for cold or heavy-duty work. The scanner will hold securely with the quick-release docking magnet and optional attachment strap until the operator wants to remove it. The ergonomics and light weight make it perfect for long scanning sessions and where “two hands are better than one”.
