Urban Post is a very accurate and robust people-tracking system. Urban Post counts cyclists and pedestrians and is ideal as a permanent park stand. Using a PYRO sensor with passive infrared, pyroelectric technology and a high-precision lens, Urban Post counts people walking within the sensor’s range by taking their body temperature.

Urban Post is the ideal solution for capturing trends over time. Like all eco-meters, the system collects data at 15-minute or one-hour intervals around the clock. The data generated by the system allows comparisons between pedestrian and cycling trips over days, months, seasons or years.

Thanks to the well-designed sensor and the innovative ORION algorithm, the Urban Post outdoor people counter can detect two people walking slightly apart simultaneously. The post can be easily mounted on any existing hard surface, and the sensor calibrates itself, making it simple to install.
