BPA-free thermal labels and receipts

The restriction on bisphenol A (BPA) from January 2, 2020, applies to all types of thermal paper — not only cash receipts but also bank terminal printouts, labels, tickets, invoices, and medical equipment and fax machines. It is impossible to visually determine if the thermal paper has been treated with BPA. The only way to determine if a concentration has been exceeded is through product testing, which will be done by the Consumer Advocacy Center (PTAC).
